Installation and planning

• Designed for easy and time-saving installation directly on the ceiling.
• Install in a suspended ceiling with a suitable load-bearing substructure.
• Do not fit the appliance directly onto plasterboard or similar lightweight construction materials.
• Equivalent ducting length Lmax 23 m is recommended to ensure good performance.
• For optimum extraction performance, keep the maximum distance between cooktop and ventilation appliance at 120 cm.
• At 120 cm distance, maximum width of cooktops combination is 100 cm, or 130 cm when adding a frame or fume collector.
• When the distance to the cooktop is larger than 120 cm, the unit acts as room ventilation since direct capture of vapours is limited.
• Consider consulting an HVAC (Heating and ventilation air conditioning) specialist for planning.
• Recommended minimum gap between appliance and external filter module is 100 cm.
• For air recirculation, an external air recirculation module is required.

Clearances and safety

• Minimum clearance above gas appliances is 65 cm.
• If total gas load is more than 12 kW, minimum clearance is 70 cm.
• Minimum clearance above electric appliances is 65 cm.
• When installing in air extraction mode with a chimney-vented fireplace, the hood’s power supply line must feature a suitable safety switch.

Operation and functions

• Automatic function with sensor-controlled power adjustment depending on cooking vapours.
• Sensor-controlled run-on function supports continued ventilation after cooking.
• Interval ventilation function operates for 6 minutes.
• Remote control is supplied for convenient adjustment of power levels and functions.
• Home Connect enables cooktop-based ventilation control with a suitable cooktop, as well as remote control, monitoring and diagnostics.
• The availability of Home Connect functionality depends on the availability of Home Connect Services in the country.
• The WiFi module can be switched off (refer to the user manual).

Filters and maintenance

• Metal grease filter is dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning.
• Grease filter saturation indicator alerts when cleaning is required.
• Activated charcoal filter saturation indicator assists in timely replacement for recirculation mode.
