Quooker

Quooker is a Dutch company founded in 1970 by Henri Peteri, who pioneered the concept of the instant boiling water tap — a product category the brand essentially invented and continues to lead. A Quooker tap replaces the kitchen kettle with an always-ready source of 100°C boiling water, alongside standard hot and cold, filtered cold, and in premium models, filtered sparkling water.

The Quooker system centres on a small, highly insulated tank fitted beneath the kitchen sink. Water is maintained at 110°C in a vacuum-insulated vessel that functions like a thermos flask — losing heat very slowly and consuming approximately 3 watts of standby electricity, equivalent to around 3 pence per day. Boiling water is available instantly on demand with no waiting, no refilling, and no kettle taking up worktop space.
