Heating methods and programmes

The appliance offers microwave operation with 6 output levels up to 1000 W and oven operation with 9 heating methods. Hot air and grill + circulated air can be freely combined with selected microwave levels (450, 360, 180 and 90 W). Special programmes include warming beverages, warming meals, dehydrating, low temperature cooking with microwave, dough proving, keeping warm and defrosting. Up to 70 automatic programmes with setting recommendations are available.

Operation and controls

The oven is handled via a full touch display and stainless steel control ring. Electronic, cushioned side–opening door, user detection with adjustable distance, light and display response, info texts and animated quick guides assist with everyday operation. Timer functions include cooking time, cooking time end, count–up timer and a long–term timer with pre–programmable heating cycles.

Core temperature probe and digital services

A connection for a core temperature probe is provided, allowing use of an oven temperature probe. Selected digital services via Gaggenau Home Connect include remote control and monitoring, software updates, cooking time estimation when using the core temperature probe and door opening via a voice assistant.

Safety features

Safety equipment includes a child lock to prevent accidental switch–on or operation, an electronic door lock to prevent unintentional opening, safety shut–off, a thermally insulated door with triple glazing and a cooled housing with temperature protection.

Cleaning and maintenance

The cooking compartment features a hygienic stainless steel interior with a heat resistant glass base. A dedicated cleaning aid programme supports easier care of the appliance.

Planning and installation

The niche should be planned without a back wall, and the mains socket must be accessible outside the built–in niche. The door hinge is not reversible, and corner installations must allow for the side–opening door and its minimum distance to the wall. The appliance is intended for ergonomic installation at a user–friendly height. When installed beneath a worktop, adequate ventilation behind the appliance is essential. For installation underneath cooktops, a minimum distance of 15 mm between the underside of the cooktop and the top edge of the oven housing is required, and cooktop planning notes must be followed.
