The DAD 4841 Black Levantar is designed for installation as a downdraft hood with a bottom exhaust duct and an exhaust air connection of 150 mm diameter. It can be installed side-by-side with compatible cooktops in either a common cut-out or in separate cut-outs, with options for flush or surface-mounted installation.

Installation drawings specify stepped cut-outs for flush-fit installation in stone worktops such as granite or marble, with a requirement to ensure sufficient stability of the worktop. Step milling for flush mounting in a worktop or countertop is described, with the option to use a 5.5 mm downwardly offset wooden strip instead of step milling (not included in the scope of delivery).

When flat ducting is laid under cabinets or when the DUU 600 recirculation box is used, minimum dimensions and specific cut-outs in the cabinet base for the exhaust air line or duct are required. Exhaust air connections are shown consistently with a 150 mm diameter in both flush and surface-mounted configurations.

The appliance includes safety features such as safety switch-off and single-ply safety glass (ESG). Cleaning is supported by the CleanCover canopy interior and dishwasher-safe 10‑ply stainless steel grease filters, with saturation indicators for both grease and active charcoal filters.
