The DG 2840 has a 40 l stainless-steel oven compartment with a linen structure and four shelf levels, providing plenty of room for steam cooking.

It offers Steam cooking, Eco steam cooking, Defrosting, Reheat and Automatic programmes. Menu cooking with steam is also available, including the ability to cook on up to three levels at the same time.

DualSteam is the steam technology used in the DG 2840. It works with external steam generation and is described as providing perfect results, contributing to healthy, even steam cooking.

The oven compartment is made of stainless steel with a linen structure and includes quick-release, removable side racks and a CleanGlass door. It has an external steam generator, floor heater for condensate reduction and a descaling function. Descaling tablets are included.

Accessories supplied include one pair of removable side runners, two perforated stainless-steel cooking containers, one solid stainless steel cooking container (40 mm high), one wire rack, one drip tray DGG 100 40 and two descaling tablets.

The total rated load is 3.60 kW, with a voltage of 230 V, frequency of 50–60 Hz and fuse rating of 16 A. The appliance uses one phase and a neutral conductor and is supplied with a mains cable with plug.
