What is Scale Control R?

Scale Control R is a Quooker accessory that consists of a filter head and a cartridge. It is used with Quooker water systems and includes a Scale Control Meter to indicate when the cartridge needs replacing.

When should I replace the Scale Control R cartridge?

The cartridge should be replaced before it becomes completely saturated. The supplied Scale Control Meter will sound an alarm signal when the cartridge needs to be replaced.

How is cartridge lifespan determined?

Cartridge lifespan is based on the average consumption of Quooker water for each tank type (PRO3 B, PRO3 E, PRO7 E and COMBI E) and the mains water total hardness in °dH. A table provides lifespan in months for hardness values from 10–20°dH.

What are the average daily consumption values used?

The average daily consumption values used for lifespan calculations are: PRO3 B & PRO3 E: 3 litres/day, PRO7 E: 7 litres/day, COMBI E: 8 litres/day.
