Conventional cooker hoods are wall-mounted extraction units designed for installation above a standard hob. Most conventional hoods can operate in either ducted or recirculation mode. Ducted mode removes steam, grease, and odours directly to outside air, offering better performance. Recirculation mode uses charcoal filters to remove odours before returning air to the kitchen, and is appropriate where external ducting is not possible.
