Proper ventilation is essential for efficient cooling, low energy consumption and a long service life. The heat extracted from the interior is emitted at the back of the minibar and must be removed via a chimney-like airflow.

• Ensure the minibar stands on a stable, horizontal surface and is level in both directions.
• Provide ventilation with air inlet below the unit and air outlet above; both are vital for airflow.
• For HiPro absorption and compressor minibars, provide at least 150 cm² free space for incoming air and 200 cm² for outgoing air.
• The entire cooling unit should protrude into the ventilation duct, which must not be warmed by any heat source.
• Side ventilation must be avoided; ventilation grills, if used, should meet the minimum free opening areas.
• Do not place the fridge in direct sunlight or near heating radiators, windows or curtains.
• Never cover ventilation grills or slots, and ensure outgoing air vents into free room space, not into enclosed voids.
