Installation and planning

The flat kitchen hood is designed to be installed in an upper cabinet without a base. When used with the patented lowering frame, the required cavity depth of the upper cabinet is 335 mm and the required cavity height is 600 mm. The patented lowering frame allows the hood to disappear completely into the upper cabinet. For air recirculation, an external air recirculation module is required and can be installed in the upper cabinet.

The activated charcoal filter in the recirculation module can be changed from the front by simply pulling out the activated charcoal filter. The door of the upper cabinet must be fully open to change this filter. When installing the ventilation hood in air extraction mode together with a chimney-vented fireplace, the hood's power supply line needs a suitable safety switch.

Required clearances are a minimum of 65 cm above gas appliances (or at least 70 cm where the total gas load exceeds 12 kW) and a minimum of 43 cm above electric appliances.

Operation and functions

Controls are positioned at the front and offer three electronically controlled power levels plus an intensive mode. The extendable steam screen, which extends by 198 mm, is operated by touching the handle bar. The fan is activated automatically when the steam screen is extended. A patented technology supports the extension of the steam screen.

The hood includes an automatic function with sensor-controlled power adjustment and run-on depending on the build-up of cooking vapours. Neutral white LED lighting at 3500 K is continuously dimmable and can be switched on separately from the fan, providing ideal illumination of the whole cooktop.

Cleaning and filter care

The unit is equipped with a stainless steel grease filter that is dishwasher-safe. A grease filter saturation indicator helps to show when cleaning is required. The airflow-optimised interior is designed for efficient air circulation and to support ease of cleaning.

For recirculation operation, the recirculation module with activated charcoal filter provides a silent and highly efficient air recirculation solution with odour reduction comparable to air extraction and long replacement intervals.
