The hob supports Plug&Play operation with unguided recirculation air, or guided recirculation and exhaust air modes using optional accessories such as DFK-xxxx, DMK 150-1, DUU 1500 and DUU 600. Recirculation air guidance can be retrofitted.

For installations where the exhaust air is routed between the cabinet wall and an adjacent wall or furniture, a minimum distance of 25 mm must be observed for Plug&Play variants, and 110 mm must be maintained for routing exhaust air ducts in other side-view configurations. The rear wall of the cabinet must be removable for servicing, and the removable collection/drip tray and cleaning flap must remain accessible after installation.

The cross-section of ventilation openings used with Plug&Play exhaust routing must be at least 425 cm². Worktop thickness requirements for exhaust air and guided recirculation mode are ≥10 mm, and for Plug&Play operation ≥10 mm – ≤40 mm. For some cabinet layouts, if the carcase rear wall is >555 mm from the worktop front, the Plug&Play adapter must be extended with a supplementary set from Miele.

Various circulating air installation variants specify minimum cabinet widths and depths, including minimum cabinet widths of 900 mm, 1125 mm or 1350 mm and a minimum cabinet depth of 935 mm depending on the chosen configuration and accessory combination (for example DFK-AK 90, DFK-R 1000, DFK-BV 90, DFK-BH 90, DFK-V, DUU 1500).

Exhaust air installation variants using DMK 150-1 and associated ducts or flex hoses also require specific accessory combinations and cabinet dimensions as illustrated by the installation variants. Drilling templates are available for surface and flush installations with installation depths of 20 cm and 21 cm.
