Filter Tap

A dedicated filter tap is installed alongside the main kitchen mixer tap to provide a separate stream of filtered water for drinking and cooking. The filtration system removes chlorine, heavy metals, limescale, and organic compounds that affect the taste and smell of mains water — a significant consideration in London, which has notably hard and heavily treated water.

The filter tap connects to a filter cartridge installed under the sink, which requires periodic replacement based on water throughput. Many systems include indicator lights or app alerts when filter replacement is due. The separate tap means filtered water is always available on demand without affecting the main mixer flow.
