The RH429 LD minibar can be used as a built-in or freestanding unit. For reliable performance, correct ventilation and installation are essential. Heat generated at the condenser fins on the back of the fridge must be transferred to the ambient air via sufficient airflow around the cooling unit.

• Level installation – the refrigerator must be placed on a stable surface that is level in both directions.
• Rear clearance – leave a minimum distance of 20 mm between the cooling unit and the furniture wall.
• Ventilation duct size – the ventilation duct should at least measure 105 mm times the width of the refrigerator, with the entire cooling unit projecting into the duct.
• Free air inlet – provide at least a 200 cm² free air inlet for cool air to enter, typically via a cut-out, slots, grill or arched opening in the toe kick.
• Free air outlet – provide at least a 200 cm² free air outlet for warm air to be released into the room; outgoing air must exit into free space, not into an enclosed void.
• Chimney-like airflow – ventilation must follow a chimney-like flow, with the air inlet positioned below the unit and the air outlet above; side ventilation must be avoided.
• Avoid preheated air – air passing through the duct must not be preheated by any source of heat, and the minibar should not be placed in direct sunlight or next to heating radiators, windows or curtains.
• Furniture cut-out – it is advised to cut a hole in the back of the furniture where the fridge is situated to maximise airflow.
• Grill openings – if ventilation grills are used, they must have openings of at least 200 cm² each for incoming and outgoing air.
• Position within furniture – the fridge should be placed approximately 10 mm inside the furniture door, with dimensions conforming to ventilation requirements.
• Mains plug access – the mains plug and socket must remain freely accessible once the fridge is installed.
• Cavity dimensions guideline – as a guideline for built-in versions, add 15 mm to height, 30 mm to width and 20 mm to depth of the product dimensions to calculate the cavity size.

Product warranty is only valid if the minibar is installed, used and maintained as described in the installation and product manuals and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
