Installation options

The unit is designed for surface installation with a visible edge or for flush installation. It is integrated into the worktop at the cooktop and can be combined with cooktops of the Vario 200 series to create a harmonic unity.

Planning notes

• For each VL unit, one remote fan unit is recommended.
• If installed next to gas appliances, ventilation moulding LS 041 001 is recommended to ensure maximum performance of the cooktop.
• When ventilation moulding LS 041 001 is installed, the wok pan WP 400 001 cannot be used.
• When installing a ventilation hood with air extraction mode and a chimney-vented fireplace, the hood’s power supply line needs a suitable safety switch.
• For optimum performance in air recirculation, an outflow surface area of at least 400 cm² is recommended.

Operation and functions

The VL200120 is operated via control knobs with an illuminated ring. Three electronically controlled power levels and an intensive mode are available. A function for automatic, sensor-controlled power adjustment regulates performance depending on the build-up of cooking vapours. Automatic sensor-controlled or manual run-on can be selected, and an interval ventilation function operates for 6 min.

Cleaning and maintenance

• The large-scale metal grease filter has high grease absorption and is removable.
• The grease filter unit is dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning.
• The enamelled ventilation grille is also dishwasher-safe.
• Grease filter and activated charcoal filter saturation indicators support timely maintenance.
