Yes. The extraction system allows for ducted out or re–circulation operation. For re–circulation, compatible charcoal filters such as the KITFC152 round kit (2 pieces) can be used.

What are the recommended installation heights above the hob?

The minimum distance from a gas hob is 650 mm, and from an electric hob is 500 mm.

How many speeds and what extraction rates does the hood offer?

There are 3 speeds. At speed 1 the extraction rate is 260 m³/h, at speed 2 it is 390 m³/h, and at speed 3 it is 600 m³/h.

What type of filters are fitted to this hood?

The hood has 3 aluminium anti–grease filters designed to help remove grease from steam produced during cooking.

How loud is the hood during operation?

The airborne A–weighted sound power emission is 45 dBA at minimum speed and 63 dBA at maximum speed. The sound power level at the highest setting (Lwa) is 63 dBA.

The SMEG KD91XE3 is a 90 cm stainless steel chimney cooker hood with a universal aesthetic and brushed finish. It offers ducted out or re–circulation extraction, with three button–controlled speeds delivering up to 600 m³/h extraction. Equipped with two 4 W LED lights at 4000 K and three aluminium anti–grease filters, it combines effective illumination and grease filtering. The hood is suitable for installation above gas or electric hobs within the stated minimum distances.
