Telescopic cooker hoods are designed to be installed within overhead cabinetry above the hob, sitting flush with the cabinet front when not in use. An extendable panel slides forward and downward when extraction is needed, bringing the grease filter and lighting closer to the hob for more effective capture of steam and odours.

This is one of the most space-efficient extraction solutions: no hood body is visible in the kitchen elevation, and the unit occupies the same overhead cabinet space that would otherwise be used for storage. The telescopic mechanism is simple and robust, and most models can be installed in both ducted and recirculation configurations.
